Inebriated

Elsa Bloodstone is, by no means, a lightweight. She could outdrink almost everyone on her teams – including She-Hulk – and is on par with The Captain. So she was never drunk enough to do anything she might regret.

Until tonight.

She hasn’t even drink that much, yet it’s taking her everything to not reach for her phone and dial a too-familiar number she unfortunately remember by heart.

Maybe she’s just too tired of being wound up all the time, and is in desperate need to let loose.

Maybe she just miss falling apart in front of someone who would pick her pieces up and put her back together again.

Maybe it’s just been too long and she just want to be with someone. Anyone.

And maybe, she just need the excuse. To blame it on the booze and not her lack of self control. To blame it on her impaired decision making and not her own inability to resist a temptation.

Because maybe, she’s just too scared to face the truth:

That in her darkest moment, she’d knock on the bloody git’s door and beg for his presence because she’s far too scared to be alone.

À la mort,

Prompt: Jay Park’s You Know (feat. Okasian).
“I was really gonna hang up girl, don’t misunderstand. But whenever I drink, girl, I keep going back”
