Charlie Bartlett (Anton Yelchyn) adalah anak kaya yang dikeluarin dari private school karena malsuin sim buat temen temen sekolahnya. Later on, dia masuk public school, dan - obviously - jadi pecundang. Bahkan dipukulin preman sekolah, Murphy (Tyler Hilton)

Tapi, setelah ke psikiater pribadi dan dikasih Ritalin, dan dia denger dari polisi kalo Ritalin bisa dipake buat “get high”, dia berhasil bikin deal sama Murphy buat njual Ritalin itu ke anak anak pas pesta dansa. Efeknya? Out of control. Soon, dengan berbekal berbagai macam obat hasil berkelana dari stau psikiater ke psikiater lain, dia jadi dokter buat anak anak sekolahnya. Popularitasnya naik, dan dia dapet banyak duit.

Situations get more complicated when he starts dating the principal’s daughter, Susan Gardner (Kat Dennings) dan, Kip Crombwell (Mark Rendall) mencoba bunuh diri menggunakan obat obatan dari Charlie. Ga cukup sampe situ, Henry Freemont (Ishan Dave) memimpin anak anak sekolah mengadakan demo untuk menentang kebijakan Principal Nathan Gardner (Robert Downey Jr) untuk memasang kamera pengawas di aula murid. Konflik antara Charlie dan sang principal yang merasa miliknya - sekolah juga Susan - direbut Charlie, apalagi penasihat sekolahnya juga berusaha untuk mengeluarkan Charlie

Well, I think of it as a good movie. Aku suka banget sama temanya, remaja dan popularitas. dua hal yang emang ga bisa dipisahin. I mean, like it or not, admit it or not, we all wanted to be popular, or at least, being recognized. Sosok ini diwujudin melalui Charlie Bartlett, a dorks who always wanted to be popular. And he really try for it.

Dan satu hal yg bikin iri sama Charlie, ibunya - Marylin bartlett (Hope Davis) - keren abis sumpaaah. ga pernah marahin Charlie gitu. Siapa yang ga pengen punya nyokap kayak gitu? Kalo aku sih, to be honest, pengen banget :p

Nice movie to watch, ga berat, ga bikin ngantuk, dan fun dengan jokes yang lumayan lucu

Charlie Bartlett: My name is Charlie Bartlett. If there’s one thing I want you guys to walk away with tonight… it’s that you guys don’t need me. I really mean it. Akhirnya kesampaian juga nonton New Moon! Setelah insiden waktu itu, rasanya puas banget bisa bener bener nonton premierenya, sama Ichetos lagi

Ga sia sia deh ngantri dari jam 7 sampe ga ikut upacara. Belom lagi si Avin sama Nia sama Shofy sempet diusir gara gara pake seragam. Si Avin malah diusir dua kali. Ckckck. Kasian banget.

Filmnya lumayan bagus. Ga sampe outstanding, but it’s good. At least it’s better than Twilight. New Moon ceritanya lebih gampang dipahami, lebih stick to the book, dan penggemar novelnya yang nonton ini ga bakal kecewa karena hampir semua adegan penting di bukunya dimasukkin ke film. Dari segi cerita, I like it. Biarpun New Moon adalah my least favorite dari Twilight Saga, tapi cerita filmnya menurutku lebih ringkas dan lebih bagus dari novelnya. Nonton film ini pasti bakal ngerasa sebel sama Bella dan ngerasa kasian sama Jacob

Selaen itu, film ini bikin penasaran pengen nonton Eclipse. Not gonna spoilt it however Ntar ga seru dong nontonnya. Wkwkwk

However, kesan pertama setelah nonton film ini adalah, muak sama Edward dan Bella. Muak sama Edward karena yang maen Robert Pattinson dan dia make upnya menor abis. Bedak putih sama lipstik merahnya tu ga nahan -.-” mana dia lebay lagi. Ga suka saya. Apalagi pas adegan awal awal waktu dia jalan slo-mo di parkiran. Yaoloh, najis abis. Kenapa pada suka sih = = Belom lagi dia amat sangat posesif dan egois. Dia tu terlalu ngelindungin Bella, dan dia terus ninggalin Bella gitu aja.

Bella juga sama aja. Dibutakan Edward. Oke lah dia lagi jatuh cinta, tapi ga segitunya kan. Sampe depresi 3 bulan. Masyaoloh. Mana dia tu plin plan banget lagi. She tells Jacob she love him but she won’t be with him, so she ask him to not talk about it cause she don’t wanna hurt him. Gosh, it’s so cruel. It’s like giving him an empty hope.  - maaf kalo komentar saya emosional banget.teringat sesuatu - Dan yang paling parah, dia menantang bahaya cuma buat liat hantu-nya Edward. Dan lebih parah lagi adalah rela mati demi Edward. Come on = =

Terus mereka itu terlalu lengket satu sama lain. Bisa diliat dari reaksi temen temennya Bella kalo sejak dia sama Edward, dia jadi lupa sama temen temen lamanya - Which actually kinda remind me to someone who watched new moon with me. ehem -

Gimanapun juga, new moon is better than twilight, dan sebagai fans novelny, aku suka sama film ini

Oh dan satu keistimewaan film ini, bener bener bisa dipake cuci mata. lol. Mulai dari Quileute pack yang semuanya hot banget dan sangat enak dilihat, apalagi Taylor Lautner. Aku ngefans deh :p Demetri (Charlie Bewley) sama Alec (Cameron Bright) terus Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) juga oke. buat yang cowok bisa nontonin Alice (Ashley Greene) sama Jane (Dakota Fanning)

Edward Cullen: I love you. You’re my only reason to stay alive… if that’s what I am.

Bella Swan: You’re sort of beautiful

Jacob Black: How hard did you hit your head?

Rosalie Hale: I wish there had been someone there to vote no for me.

The Brothers Bloom talk about Stephen (Mark Ruffalo) and Bloom (Adrian Brody). Waktu kecil, Stephen (diperankan Max Records) merancang sebuah cerita dengan Bloom (diperankan Zachary Gordon) sebagai tokoh utama. Cerita Bloom sukses besar, dan mereka berhasil dapet $30 dari anak2 di kota mereka. Tapi, mereka diusir dari kota itu

Selanjutnya, mereka terkenal sebagai pasangan penipu sukses. Tapi, Bloom merasa ga bahagia. Dan akhirnya dia pergi ninggalin Stephen. 3 bulan kemudian, dengan bantuan Bang Bang (Rinko Kikuchi), cewek Jepang ahli bom yang slama ini bantuin mereka, Stephen berhasil nemuin Bloom, dan dia nawarin Bloom one last con scheme. And so they set to New Jersey.

Rencana Stephen kali ini melibatkan bangsawan cewek muda New Jersey, Penelope (Rachel Weisz). Of course, Bloom and Penelope finally fall for each other. And, it makes Bloom struggles with his loyalties. As the Stephen’s scheme take them into an unexpected situation, Bloom finally have to make his own way after living a fake life since he was 10

Nice story with unexpected twist, and such a beautiful ending

I don’t know, but either way I was the one telling my own story…

He's Just NOT That Into You

Beberapa minggu yang lalu abis baca review soal film ini di sini, terus jadi pengen nonton. Dan akirnya tadi malem nonton DVDnya deh

I LOVE THIS MOVIE

Ceritanya tentang 9 orang berbeda, 5 cewek, 4 cowok, yang secara sadar maupun ga sadar, hidupnya saling berhubungan. Tokoh utamanya kayaknya sih Gigi. Secara fotonya paling gede. Naratornya juga dia kok :p

Ceritanya agak agak complicated jadi males deh ngebahas ceritanya daripada aku malah menceritakan ulang tu film kan ga seru gitu men

Kekurangannya sih ya menurutku sebenernya scenenya Mary tu ga terlalu penting. Sangat ga penting sejujurnya. Abis kesannya dia cuma tempelan gitu sih. Mana happy endingnya dia Connor - sorry spoiler – tu agak terlalu mekso dan hampir tidak mungkin terjadi di real life. Mana si Mary tu kasian banget e bikin miris.lol

Cerita segitiga - atau segiempat - antara Connor – Ben – Anna – Janine juga keren. Abis. Dan endingnya keren. Sangat nyata. Dan sangat menganut prinsip good guys will win.lol

Scene favoritku? Gigi sama Alex. Selain karena Alex memberi banyak pelajaran berharga soal cowok - lol - juga karena ceritanya mereka agak nohok. Dan mengingatkanku pada seseorang - ada yang merasa? - Bedanya mereka happy ending. Aku emboh – lah malah curcol -

Tapi sebenernya ceritanya gampang ditangkep kok, karena toh masalah yang dibahas itu masalah yg biasa terjadi di lovelifenya siapapun. Yang agak ribet cuma hubungan antar karakternya. Kalo ga gampang apal muka orang - kayak aku – bisa bisa agak bingung ini siapa itu siapa soalnya karakternya banyak sih. Awal awal aja aku rada bingung mbedain tokoh tokohnya huehehehehe

Gimanapun juga, film ini bener bener ga ngecewain. Ringan, gampang ditangkep, tapi sekaligus ngasih pelajaran yang berharga – dan gampang ditangkep – soal lovelife – dan terutama soal cowok :p - daaan yang terutama quotesnya keren kereeeeeeeen

Gigi: We are all programmed to believe that if a guy acts like a total jerk that means he likes you.

Alex : Why do women do this? Build up this stuff in their minds, take each little thing a guy does, and then twist it into something else?

Gigi : I would rather be like that, then be like you.
Alex : Excuse me? What’s that supposed to mean?
Gigi : I may dissect each little thing and put myself out there so much but at least that means that I still care. Oh! You’ve think you won because women are expendable to you. You may not get hurt or make an ass of yourself that way but you don’t fall in love that way either. You have not won. You’re alone. I may do a lot of stupid shit but I’m still a lot closer to love than you are.

Alex : So trust me when I say if a guy is treating you like he doesn’t give a shit, he genuinely doesn’t give a shit. No exceptions.

Gigi : That the exception and we’re not the exception we’re the rule.

Gigi : Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up: if a boy punches you he likes you, never try to trim your own bangs, and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. every movie we see, every story we’re told implores us to wait for it: the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. but sometimes we’re so focused on finding our happy ending we don’t learn how to read the signs. how to tell the ones who want us from the ones who don’t, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. and maybe a happy ending doesn’t include a guy, maybe it’s you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. maybe the happy ending is just moving on. or maybe the happy ending is this: knowing after all the unreturned phone calls and broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment… you never gave up hope.

The last one is my favourite

And honestly, I love this movie cause it’s help me making this decision

Maybe I’m the rule. Maybe he’s not into me. Maybe I’ll be his exception. Maybe those fairy tale will eventually happen in my life. I don’t know

I just watch Death Defying Acts this afternoon, alone, again

Jangan ketipu sama judulnya yg pake kata Death. Jangan ngarepin aksi aksi menantang maut atau perang yg edan edanan kalo nonton film ini. One word to describe it : drama.

Judul Death Defying Acts lebih mengacu ke aksi aksi sulapnya Harry Houdini a.k.a The Great Houdini yg menantang maut. Bukan buat nggambarin filmnya secara keseluruhan. Yah, biarpun film ini tetep berkaitan erat dengan “death” sih

Ceritanya, The Great Houdini nantang semua paranormal. Dia bakal ngasih $10.000 buat siapapun yg bisa nebak pesan terakhir dari ibunya buat si Houdini – yg cuma Houdini yg tau- atau bisa menghubungkan si Houdini sama ibunya lewat arwah. Dan sejauh ini, ga ada satu orang pun yg berhasil.

Nah, ada ibu anak, Mary ama Benji *Benji cewek, FYI* yg sehari harinya hidup dari ngadain pertunjukan cenayang palsu. Mereka miskin, dan mereka berniat untuk nyambut tantanganny Houdini.

Awalny mereka juga diremehin, tapi entah kenapa setelah ngeliat Mary, Houdini ngerasa mereka asli. Dan dia mau ngadain pembuktian, kalo Mary itu cenayang asli. Dannn perlahan tapi pasti, mereka *Houdini sama Mary, bukan Houdini sama Benji. Dia bukan pedophil* saling jatuh cinta Sampe si Mary lupa kalo tujuan awalnya adalah dapet duit $10.000. Tapi hubungannya Houdini sama Mary ega direstui Benji dan Mr. Sugarman – manajernya Houdini -

Yang ga diketahui Mary dan Benji, Mary itu mirip banget sama ibunya Houdini pas masih muda. Pas tau, Mary langsung emosi. Dia merasa dikhianati sama Houdini. Apalagi pas hari – H pertunjukanny Mary, dia disuruh Houdini pake gaun pengantin ibunya Houdini. Mary makin marah deh.

Kali ini aku ga ngasih spoiler deh :p yg jelas i love the ending, biarpun agak, hmm, sad sih and there is one hidden surprising fact. nice twist before the end :3

Satu satunya hal yg mengganggu pas nonton ni film, sebelahku tu orang pacaran. Dan mereka mbojo. Ga cuma itu, cewekny juga makan. Ples, mereka ngomong terus. Dan, cowoknya itu ukuranny agak, err, gede, dan dia makan tempat. Sandaran tanganku sampe dimonopoli. Jadi, yeah, ga PW deh pas nonton

Btw kayakny nonton ni film sambil mbojo asik, soalny romantis sih
